New theme
My husband managed to get a new “theme” installed for my weblog! I like the colors MUCH better. It feels like “summer” doesn’t it? The other one was way too dark and depressing for a recipe blog. Well, I’ll be posting more recipes tomorrow (I’ve got Hammy today).

BARBEQUED SALMON KEBABS
Ingredients
1-1/2-pounds salmon, skinned and cut into large chunks
1-1/2 tablespoons cornstarch)
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 large egg white, beaten
2 small red bell peppers deseeded and cut into chunks
2 small green bell peppers deseeded and cut into chunks
6 tablespoons of olive oil
Sauce:
6 tomatoes, deseeded and quartered
1 small white onion, finely chopped
12 basil leaves
10 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
½ teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Place salmon in a shallow dish and sprinkle the cornstarch salt and pepper all over. Add egg white and coat the salmon. Put in the refrigerator and chill for 15 minutes. Meanwhile make the sauce by placing all of the ingredients in a food processor and coarsely chop. Chill in a refrigerator

BARBEQUE CUPS
Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef browned and drained
1/2 cup barbeque sauce
1 tablespoon minced onion
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 can refrigerator biscuits
3/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
Add barbeque sauce, onions and brown sugar to the browned and drained ground beef. Press biscuits into greased muffin pan to form cups. Spoon beef mixture into the cups and top with grated cheese. Bake at 400 for 10-12 minutes.

BARBECUED GARLIC
Simple but amazing recipe.
Ingredients
8 heads garlic
4 tablespoons Butter
Springs of fresh rosemary
Place whole heads of garlic on sheet of foil, then top with butter and rosemary. Fold foil over garlic and seal package well. Cook over hot coals for 45 minutes turning package occasionally.

BARBEQUED LAMB ON SKEWERS
Ingredients
2 pounds lamb cubed
4 tablespoons lemon juice
3 garlic cloves, crushed
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon granulate sugar
In a medium bowl combine together cubed lamb, lemon juice, crushed garlic cloves, cayenne pepper, oil, salt, and sugar. Marinate lamb for 2 hours in a covered bowl. Drain, reserving the marinade for basting during barbecuing. Skewer the lamb and grill for 15 minutes, basting often.

BARBEQUED MEAT BALLS WITH SAUCE
Ingredients
3 strips bacon finely cut
1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 egg
2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons chopped onion
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/2 pound lean pork, finely cut
Sauce:
1/2 cup catsup
1/4 cup vinegar
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons chopped onion
Mix all meatball ingredients well. Form into small balls. Heat sauce ingredients until well blended. Pour over meatballs. Baste while cooking. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.

BARBEQUED PORK CHOPS
I know, I know. Everyone has their own, and it is “the best”. But this one is my go-to recipe for chops.
Ingredients
6 1-inch pork chops
Salt and pepper
8-ounces can seasoned tomato sauce
1/2 cup catsup
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon liquid smoke
1/2 teaspoon onion salt
Brown chops in heavy skillet; season with salt, pepper. Combine remaining ingredients; pour over chops. Simmer until meat is tender, about 1 hour, turning occasionally.

BARBEQUED PORK LOIN CHOPS
Ingredients
4 center loin chops, cut 1-1/4 to 1-1/2″ thick
1 cup barbeque sauce
Pour barbeque sauce over chops in heavy plastic bag, seal. Refrigerate 4 to 24 hours. Prepared covered grill with drip pan in center banked by medium hot coals. Remove chops from marinade and pat dry. Grill 12 to 15 minutes, turning once. During last 5 minutes of grilling, brush with additional barbeque sauce.

BUTTERSCOTCH RICE CRISPY TREATS
Ingredients
6 cups crispy rice cereal
12 ounce bag butterscotch chips
1 cup smooth peanut butter
Melt peanut butter and butterscotch chips together and pour over cereal. Mix well and pour into well buttered rectangular dish and refrigerate for 1 hour before cutting.

BUTTERSCOTCH GINGER COOKIES
Recipe: Ginger Butterscotch Cookies!
Ingredients
3 cups flour
1-1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
2 teaspoons baking soda
1-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
3/4 teaspoons ground cloves
2 sticks butter softened
1/2 teaspoons salt
1-1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1 package butterscotch chips
1 large egg
1/3 cups mild molasses
Preheat oven 350. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, sugar, egg and molasses in mixing bowl until creamy. Gradually beat in flour mixture until well blended. Stir in morsels. Drop rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake 10 minutes. Cool on baking sheets for two minutes. Remove from wire racks and cool completely. Enjoy.
